My Favorite Superhero Films!

I’m a huge movie fan. I always struggle when people ask me what are my favorite movies because I have so many films in mind that I can’t come up with a definite answer. As a result, I typically put my favorite movies into different categories based on genres. So I’m going to be talking about some of my favorite super hero movies!

5. The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is my favorite out of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The overall story telling aspect of the film is great. From visual aesthetics, to action sequences, the film is just amazing.  Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker is absolutely breathtaking, and is probably one of the best super villain portrayals I’ve seen in the genre.

4. The Avengers

The Avengers was the MCU’s first superhero team up film that really set the tone for the rest of the MCU in the future. I remember going to see this movie in theaters, and being in complete awe of what I saw before me. It was just a really great film that was enjoyable to watch.

3. Wonder Woman

As a very passionate Wonder Woman fan, I was very happy when I got to see my favorite superhero on the big screen for the first time when I watched Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Although her screen time in the film was minimal, it allowed the audience to get a sense of who Wonder Woman was in her stand-alone film. When I went to go see her movie in 2017 during it’s opening weekend, I was amazed! The overall visual aesthetics of Themyscria (Paradise Island for the Amazons) was amazing! Gal Gadot did a great job at embodying who Diana was as a warrior, princess, and hero. Patty Jenkins did a phenomenal job at directing the movie as well. I can’t wait to see more of Wonder Woman in the future!

2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Up until recently, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was my favorite Marvel movie, and remained on this list since it was released. Everything about the movie to me was amazing! From the story telling, plot twists, and especially every single action sequence in the film (That elevator fight scene though). The film was just executed nicely and it really set the tone for the events that would take place in the future of the MCU, including the TV shows such as Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, etc. just like the first Avengers movie did.

  1. Black Panther

Finally at number one of my list is Black Panther. I know, I know, the movie hasn’t even been released yet! However if everything I’ve been hearing about the movie is true, it will definitely take the top spot of my list. I’ve been waiting for this movie to be released ever since it was announced in 2014. After seeing T’Challa briefly in Captain America: Civil War, I know for a fact that Black Panther is going to be amazing. The cast of the movie is dynamic, and all of the visuals that I’ve seen of Wakanda so far look astounding.

I have a lot more superhero films that I love and enjoy, but this is just a small concentrated list of movies that stand out to me. If you enjoyed this blog post, please share it with your friends and don’t forget to follow Blerd Lines for more posts! Thanks!
